Day 7- January 8th
Today wasn't too eventful. Class was pretty deathly. Italian got a little better today; I started to understand some of the things she was saying. She's so cute though: Her name's Magda and she's this cute old lady with a really strong Italian accent. The one thing about Italian that I do like is that half of the class is a culture part where we learn about the culture in Europe. Like the first day we learned about some of the good restaurants; hiking, and different day trips we can take in Lugano. Today we learned about Greek art and sculpture, which most of the class pretty much bored to death, but I was actually interested. The deathly part was consumer research where we spent 2 1/2 hours giving group presentations on how we could increase exercise to eliminate obesity in America. It sounds not bad but he didn't want us to be specific, and when we went to present Brinberg just tore every group apart on how to think abstractly and not concretely. I feel like I'm taking a philosophy class, which is a math person's worse nightmare. I like a question and an answer. So after I really long day of class I got back to the Montarina and went on a run. I went a different route so I wasn't going up mt. everest on the way back. I ended up passing an Irish Pub, which I got so excited to see because I'll have a spot to watch the ravens game on Sunday when we get back from Interlaken!
