Today, Val and I were the only one's who wanted to hike to Arthur's seat. Honestly, I think that would have been the biggest regret of my trip if we hadn't. Not only was I already in love with the city, but I fell in love all over again after this day. It was the prettiest place I've ever been in my life. No joke if I could get married anywhere it would be on the top of Arthur's seat. Here are some of the few of the hundreds of pictures i ended up taking:
Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to hike to the very top, but we got close and the view as you can probably see was well worth it. We then went National Museum, a free museum in Edinburgh that had a collection of really cool artifacts and a number of other items from all over the world. The most famous among the collections was the very own Dolly the Sheep (well stuffed at least since she's dead now). Dolly was the first successfully cloned animal in the world.
The rest of our day was spent eating lunch at the Elephant Cafe, where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter and some other exploring before we had to catch our flight to London. The next entry is one dedicated to all the things in Europe I found with a connection to harry potter. See if you're such a harry potter nerd yourself to discover the connections. I'll help for some of those who aren't as ridiculous fans as me.
